The MADE SAFE® seal is the only certification program that prioritizes both human health and ecosystem health. Products that are MADE SAFE® Certified have been screened against the MADE Banned List, which ensures that they are made without 15,000+ of the most toxic ingredients.

Every MADE SAFE® Certified product is thoroughly screened and 100% of registered ingredients are vetted by scientists and/or researchers to ensure they’re made without known behavioral toxins, carcinogens, developmental toxins, endocrine disruptors, synthetic flame retardants, heavy metals, neurotoxins, high risk pesticides, reproductive toxins, toxic solvents, or harmful VOCs.

In the Ecosystem Approach, substances are screened further for bioaccumulation, environmental persistence, general ecosystem harm, as well as for aquatic and terrestrial toxicity.
